Flint Style was a free public screen printing demonstration created in collaboration with Nathan Dell for the September 2013 Flint Art Walk. Participants were invited to pull their very own screen print of a Flint style coney dog on the sidewalk of Saginaw Street in downtown Flint. A “coney” or “coney dog” is a popular style of hot dog in the Midwest that features a hot dog topped with seasoned ground beef, mustard, and onions. Cities have different styles of preparation, with a Flint style coney being notably drier than the neighboring Detroit style coney.
